Foundation
An answer engine whose most important capability is declining to answer.
What it is
Docgenie answers questions from a body of documents and cites the source of every claim it makes. When the documents do not support an answer, it says so instead of producing one. It is built as a configuration of the Turnflow core rather than as a separate stack, which is where it inherits that behaviour from: invariant C6 requires grounded generation to resolve to grounded-with-citations or to refusal.
An answer engine that cannot say “that is not in your documents” is not one you can put in front of a reader who is accountable for what they repeat, which is why refusal is a first-class outcome rather than an error path.
What is true today
Foundation. The deployable container, the database schema and the health surface exist. The grounded-generation product itself lands when the Turnflow platform work underneath it lands — this page will stay short until then.
