Banco do Fundo
First steps in Catholic life, starting with being able to follow the Mass.
What it is
I built it for someone who wants to go to Mass and does not know what is about to happen, when to stand, or what to answer. It is short on purpose: one-minute lessons, the order of the Mass step by step, and the words the Church uses, explained in plain Portuguese.
How it works
- Sources first
- Every text cites the sources it was written from, out of one fixed list. A song shows its first line and a link, never the lyrics.
- Unchecked until checked
- A lot of the first draft was written with AI models, which is exactly why every text says it has not been checked yet until I have read it against its source myself. A build test fails if anything claims otherwise.
- Nothing to sign up for
- A static site with no accounts and no scores. Font size and saved cards stay in your browser.
What is true today
Live at bancodofundo.com, in Portuguese only. The texts are still being checked against their sources, and each one says so until it is.
